This chain has several hotels in and around Brussels, each with its own concept and style. Several services are centralized at the Brussels headquarters, including the Reservations & MICE department. The headoffice is located in a modern and light office building, located in the centre of Brussels.

Duties

In this position you are responsible for the central reservations & MICE department where all individual reservations and requests for Meeting&Events and Leisure Groups come in. You will manage a team of about 5 employees, you coordinate the work, coach and supervise them in their work. You divide the requests among the team and consider with them what opportunities you can offer to the client. With the variety of hotels and large meeting capacity, there is a suitable proposal for almost every request.
You create budgets and ensure proper follow-up. You set clear objectives for the team, discuss the results and initiate regular evaluation meetings. You implement new systems and procedures and will also communicate general information within the company.
Your work will mainly take place at the head office, but you will be in close contact with the various hotels and you will also be there regularly, for example to meet clients and show them around.

Profile

For this position we are looking for a candidate with experience, someone with a good knowledge of the hotel industry and more specifically within Reservations and/or MICE. You like to be in contact with people and have gained managerial experience in the past.

Furthermore, you can find yourself in the following:

  • Bachelor level
  • experience in a multiproperty environment is a big plus
  • commercially-minded
  • positive with strong communication and social skills
  • a real people manager who can coach a team
  • structured, organized and stress resistant
  • knowledge of hotel systems (Opera) is a plus
  • fluent in languages, at least NL+ENG or FR+ENG
