This supplier has its permanent base in Antwerp, from which numerous transports are organized daily. Due to the ongoing growth, we are looking for an account manager for the Wallonia & Brussels Region to strengthen the sales team.

In this role, you will often be on the road visiting customers. You will manage your customer portfolio in the region and regularly visit existing clients to showcase new products or provide additional explanations on the ordering system. You will go on prospection to new restaurants and hotels. This job, therefore, offers the perfect combination of farming and hunting.

Your tasks include:

Sales & Visibility
  • detect and prospect commercial opportunities in Wallonia and Brussels
  • visit new and existing customers regularly
  • negotiate and renew contracts
  • participate in fairs and events

Relationship Management
  • follow-up on the existing customer portfolio with an eye for a sustainable collaboration
  • be a point of contact for questions, problems or complaints in the region
  • adjust/develop the product with the customer based on their demand

Administrative
  • follow up on administration
  • support the ordering department, especially for first orders from new customers and tailormade orders
  • communicate internally with sales, production, and logistics

Profiel

We are looking for the following profile:
  • someone with a background in or strong affinity for the hospitality/food industry
  • you possess practical insights so that you can brainstorm with the customer. You are an enthusiastic and independent person with a sense of responsibility
  • you speak French perfectly in order to communicate easily with customers in the region, knowing Dutch is especially useful for internal communication
  • you quickly master new computer programs and have a good knowledge of Excel
  • you are a social person who enjoys being on the road and making customers feel appreciated
  • previous experience in a similar role or sales is not necessary, with your enthusiasm and work attitude you make the difference!
