The second Belgian location in Antwerp is now running at full speed and has established itself as a successful hotspot. Concrete plans for further expansion within Belgium are already underway.

Located in the heart of Antwerp, the establishment is a real eye-catcher. In the spacious building, there is a beautiful central bar around which various tables are placed. It is the place for a delicious cocktail, a good glass of wine, or an elaborate dinner. During the summer months, the new, spacious terrace with a cozy patio will attract many visitors. In total, there is room for 180 covers, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere. The tables are always occupied 2 to 3 times on Friday and Saturday evenings, ensuring volume!

To further build on this success, we are looking for a strong manager who can help define the future and wishes to develop within a growing organization.

Duties

As a General Restaurant Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the daily operations of the establishment and ensure that everything runs smoothly both front and back of house. You maintain the identity of the concept, the business, and the team, but also take the initiative to further optimize the business and ensure its successful operation. Additionally, you play a key role in structuring the operations and training the team. You lead, coordinate, and supervise all activities within this high-volume restaurant. As the face of the business, you are the point of contact for guests, suppliers, the operational teams, and the management at headquarters. With your expertise and hands-on mentality, you actively contribute to the growth and further development of the establishment.

Your job responsibilities are divided into operational and administrative tasks:

Operational:

  • As a true host/hostess, you set an example during service, welcoming guests and maintaining an overview during busy service periods.
  • You manage a 16-person team + extras and provide the necessary training, guidance, and follow-up.
  • You take initiatives to make daily operations more efficient and practical.
  • You closely monitor quality, guest satisfaction, and hygiene regulations.

Administrative:

  • You ensure proper general administrative management: cash register, inventory, orders, etc.
  • Personnel management: creating schedules, tracking overtime, monitoring vacation days, requesting contracts, detecting training needs, organizing training sessions, conducting evaluations.
  • Cost control: closely monitoring personnel, food & beverages, and other expenditures.
  • You manage the b budgets and strive with the entire team for revenue maximization.

Profile

You preferably have experience as a Manager in a contemporary restaurant, preferably where a reasonable volume of business is operated.

Furthermore, we are looking for a candidate who:

  • dynamically excels at multitasking, can set priorities, and maintain oversight
  • as a leader - with a lot of charisma and individuality - can communicate diplomatically
  • is a true team player
  • wants to commit for the long term
  • is enthusiastic about innovation, digitization, and marketing
  • has a good command of Dutch and English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • lives in the Antwerp region
  • can be flexible regarding evening and weekend work (especially in the first year), while also maintaining a good work-life balance
