This hotel is a well-established presence in Ghent and is located in the city center. Due to its many facilities and excellent location, the hotel attracts international guests as well as a local audience. The property features luxuriously furnished hotel rooms and a wide range of meeting rooms and food & beverage outlets.
Tasks
As Front Office Manager, your main focus is on the organizational aspect of the department. You are responsible for the daily coordination at the Front Office and lead the staff.
Together with the team, you strive for a high level of service and guest satisfaction. In doing so, you always pay attention to the brand standards and coach the team to follow them.
You maximize financial results and encourage upselling. You handle the administrative tasks in the back office, but you also step in operationally during sickness or absence of staff.
In this position, you are part of the 'HOD team' and translate the management's vision into operations. You report to the GM and also participate in the Duty system.
Profile
For this position, we are looking for a candidate with extensive experience at the Front Office, someone who has already made their mark in the hospitality industry.
What competencies do we expect?
- Organizational and administrative skills, you always maintain a clear overview;
- Excellent communication skills and proven leadership skills;
- Driven, with a sense of initiative and a flexible mindset;
- A high degree of independence to organize your department;
- You ensure a positive work atmosphere and aim for quality and service in all aspects;
- You have good computer skills and knowledge of PMS systems, preferably Opera;
- Excellent knowledge of English and preferably also Dutch.
