This large-scale hotel, located at Brussels Airport, has been a staple for years. In addition to around 300 rooms, the hotel features a bar, restaurant, and a wide range of banquet options. The guests are predominantly international and business-oriented.

The hotel is part of a strong international brand, with several hotels in Belgium. They place a strong emphasis on personal development through training and various educational programs.

Duties

As a sales executive, you are part of the sales team, with your focus on groups and proactive sales. Your range of tasks includes a variety of responsibilities:

  • market study: mapping the demand, competition, trends, and target groups
  • prospecting: actively approaching target groups through various channels and converting them into leads
  • convincing: showings of the property, developing quotes, pricing calculations, and negotiations
  • it integration: integrating the customer, pricing, and booking codes into the system
  • follow-up: following up on (group) reservations and ensuring a briefing to operations
  • aftersales: following up on satisfaction, resolving any issues related to reservations
  • account management: building long-term relationships and collaborations
  • networking: being present at events organized by the city, sector, and associations
  • renewing: renewing annual contracts, substantiating price indexation
  • cross- and upselling: recommending other products and options
  • administration: working in a structured way, drafting and organizing contracts
  • forming a link between feedback from relationships and operations - striving for improvement

Profile

We are looking for an ambitious salesperson who can make a difference in this highly competitive hotel market. Furthermore, you possess:

  • hotel experience - minimum 2 years of experience in Rooms - Groups or Sales is a plus
  • sales knowledge - you know how to successfully persuade a prospect
  • commercial instinct - a nose for business
  • financial insight - ability to interpret figures, ratios, and results
  • computer skills - proficiency in Excel and an aptitude for learning hotel systems
  • service orientation - your character fits the Hospitality sector
  • language skills - English + 1 additional language
