Housekeeping Manager - Luxe Hotel

This luxury hotel in Brussels offers 150 rooms, meeting rooms, a bar, restaurant, terrace,wellness and fitness facilities. They are currently seeking a new Housekeeping Manager who can act as the link between the hotel and the external housekeeping company.

Your workday starts around 9 AM, the external cleaning company is already at work. You begin the day with a meeting with the supervisor and the Front Office Manager. After that, you focus on the following tasks:

• planning: scheduling daily and periodic tasks - communication with external company
• inspections: daily inspection of rooms and public areas (cleanliness, order, and maintenance)
• training: training housekeepers according to hotel procedures, providing feedback, and setting goals
• special requests: fulfilling requests from guests, VIPs, and club members
• stock: checking and ordering linens, amenities, cleaning products, and supplies
• sustainability: implementing "green" initiatives and waste management
• laundry: overseeing the operation of the internal laundry (uniforms & linens)
• decoration: responsible for hotel decoration, including flowers
• lost & found: registering and returning lost items
• financial: preparing and monitoring the annual budget
• cost control: managing costs per room, checking invoicing

You work closely with the front office and maintenance, reporting to the hotel's Operations Manager.

We are looking for a dynamic professional for a luxury environment with the following qualifications:

• hotel experience: minimum 2 years in Rooms and basic experience in Housekeeping
• language skills: English required, French is a plus
• attention to detail: always ensures a pristine hotel
• coordination skills: efficiently coordinate multiple tasks
• coaching: patiently convey procedures and guidelines to others
• administrative skills: accurate administration for efficient HSK management
• financial insight: able to interpret and analyze numbers and results
• service orientation: character that fits the Hospitality sector
